Software Purchase Options
Pine Research offers AfterMath Live software for electrochemical simulation. There are several software purchase options available. Review the options below for the Student Edition, Basic Edition, and Research Edition. Some options are fixed-term licenses while others are a convenient monthly or yearly subscription.

Student Edition
The Student Edition of AfterMath Live includes a set of features geared toward learners of electrochemistry. The features included are ideal for using simulation as part of a course for active learning and homework assignments. The licenses for the Student Edition are for a fixed period and are not renewing subscription-based licenses. The features included with this edition are:
- User-Defined Mechanisms – build any mechanism of interest from electrochemical and chemical reaction options.
- Access to the cyclic voltammetry experiment.
- Reduced price for educational use.
- Qualitative fitting – upload real data and simulate on top to qualitatively try to match real and simulated data.
- In-Browser, cross-platform delivery.
Student Month
This license provides users with 1 month of access to AfterMath Live (Student Edition). This is not a subscription and therefore there are no recurring charges.
Student Semester
This license provides users with 4 months of access to AfterMath Live (Student Edition). This is not a subscription and therefore there are no recurring charges.
Basic Edition
The Basic Edition of AfterMath Live includes similar features that included in the Student Edition. The Basic Edition is available on a subscription basis, which renews monthly or yearly. The features included are ideal for casual users, intermediate users, and those who wish to evaluate a richer set of features. The extra features included with this edition are:
- Pre-Defined Mechanisms – start with commonly used mechanisms like E, EE, EC, CE, ECE, EEE, EC’ that have been pre-built for you.
- Second order chemical reactions support
- Adds iR Compensation
- Adds Bulk Electrolysis experiment
- Monthly or Yearly subscrptions
Basic Monthly
This license provides users with monthly of access to AfterMath Live (Basic Edition). This is a subscription and you will be billed monthly until cancelled.
Basic Yearly
This license providers users with yearly access to AfterMath Live (Standard Edition). This is a subscription based software license that bills annually until cancelled.
Research Edition
This Research Edition of AfterMath Live includes all-access to a rich set of features. These subscription based licenses provide users with everything the software can provide. Subscriptions are renewed monthly or yearly until cancelled. This edition is ideal for members of a research lab including research faculty, post-doctoral researchers, and graduate students as well as industry scientists. The Research Edition includes everything in the Student and Basic Editions, plus:
- Access to all electrochemical methods including cyclic voltammetry and bulk electrolysis
- Enables the addition of double-layer capacitance (Cdl) to more closely match simulation data to real data
- Includes all features of the Basic Edition
Research Monthly
This license providers users with monthly access to AfterMath Live (Research Edition). This is a subscription based software license that bills monthly until cancelled.
Research Yearly
This license providers users with yearly access to AfterMath Live (Research Edition). This is a subscription based software license that bills annually until cancelled.
